The Family Piano - We're TogetherWelcome to The Family Piano!

The Family Piano is a music recording project comprising a diverse group of musicians from Dallas, Fort Worth and Denton. Each of these wonderful musicians brings his or her particular brand of artistry to each song. The first collection of songs features a different combination of musicians on each track, showcasing their talents in a variety of styles and genres.

The first single is called We’re Together’. It is a duet with Becky Middleton. James Driscoll is on bass, I played piano and sang, with McKenzie Smith on drums.

The name of the song is ‘We’re Together’.

The photo on the cover is one from a collection taken by Rita Henry. She’s been photographing family pianos over the last year. I think it’s some of her best work. Trey Carmichael did the creative design and layout. I think you’ll agree it’s lovely.
This single release, and the ones that follow over the next year are coupled with the launch of a website set for April.

The website is a catalog and search engine directed to music supervisors and publishers. The catalog currently includes 30 or so independent records from the area that I believe deserve attention. My hope is that the site will also act as a searchable archive of music from the area. If you’re interested in more information, send me an email and I’ll tell you all about it.

Many thanks to Steven Morvay and Doug Morgan for helping to make the site and software a reality….almost. Local luminary Scott Davis was incredibly helpful and I am proud to call him a partner in the release of this material. Paul Williams has been at almost every phase of this recording and it would not have happened without him.
